Our story

MAS Global began in 2013 with one engineer, no outside funding, and a bold belief: that a software company could deliver both exceptional business outcomes and meaningful social impact. Today, we’re a U.S.-based digital and AI services firm headquartered in Tampa, with strong roots in Latin America.

We’ve been named five times to the Inc. 5000 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the U.S. and featured in Forbes, Bloomberg, and other leading publications. Monica Hernandez

From Medellín beginnings to the Top 100 Hispanics in Technology in the U.S.

Born in Colombia, Monica moved to the United States at 21 after earning a software engineering degree in Colombia, thanks to a full academic scholarship that transformed her life.

She began her IT career in Texas, gaining experience with custom application development and digital modernization initiatives. She later worked as a consultant for Oracle, where she traveled across the U.S. and Europe, leading enterprise-scale global projects.

Inspired by her own journey, Monica founded MAS Global in 2013 to merge her two passions: technology and social impact. Her team now serves globally recognized brands, and she created the MAS Global–EAFIT Scholarship, modeled after the one that changed her life, bringing her story full circle, and helping U.S. businesses accelerate technology initiatives powered by elite talent from her home country and across LATAM. Monica is a member of the Forbes Technology Council, host of the MAS Impact Podcast, and founder of the MAS Future Foundation, upskilling the next generation of women and Latinos in tech. She lives in Tampa, Florida, and is a proud mother of two.
