Women may still represent a minority of business owners in America, but they are growing in influence. According to U.S. Census Bureau figures, women-owned firms generated roughly $1.8 trillion in sales and employed more than 10.1 million workers in 2018, the last year for which data is available.

20+ years of experience in the Technology space, Monica Hernandez was born and raised in Colombia, moved to USA at the age of 21, after earning a software engineering degree in Colombia thanks to a full academic scholarship that transformed her life.  Monica started her IT career in Texas, gaining experience with custom application development and digital modernization initiatives, and later became a Consultant for Oracle, where she traveled across the US and Europe leading enterprise-scale global projects.

Her immigrant background and journey to the US was a strong motivation to start MAS Global, a mid-size Agile software development and IT services company based in Florida with nearshore development hubs in Medellin, Colombia, and now strategic partner to several Fortune500 corporations.   MAS want to leverage the power of diversity and technology to impact clients and communities.
